I am so ready for the writer’s strike to be over….

I came to this realization when I noticed that the highlight of my TV viewing week was watching American Gladiators and Carpoolers…..

Slowly some shows are coming back, but it has been a month or so. If it wasn’t for sports I don’t know what I’d do.

Prior to the holidays I as enjoying Journeyman and Bionic Woman. Those were two shows I couldn’t wait to view on my TIVO/DVR. I am trying to stick with Terminator: Sarah Connor Series, but after the premier episode, it’s kinda dragging. If anyone else has any suggestions, please let me know.

1 L.A. Daddy { 01.23.08 at 5:56 pm }: If you get a chance, check out the replay of the series, "Mad Men" on AMC. It just won the Golden Globe award for best drama series. I’m still a huge fan of "The Wire" on HBO (the closest thing I’ve seen to a novel using the TV format). Also on AMC is the new show "Breaking Bad" which looks promising… Thanks for stopping by my blog
2 Wander { 01.23.08 at 10:20 pm }: I’m so ready for the strike to end too. Sadly enough, we get one channel and that’s ABC. It’s a choice we live with that affords me the luxury of not having to work. Unfortunately I can’t recommend anything to you because all of my favorites are into reruns already…for the third or fourth time already this season. The really sad part of the writer’s strike is that if they get what they want, it won’t make up for what they have already lost in earnings. It will be interesting to see if some of the hit shows can pick back up what viewers they may have lost because people have moved on to other shows.

Wander, I got two channels for a couple of years while in college and it didn’t bother me that much at all. When I could afford it we did get cable, but now with my DVR I mostly watch recorded TV. I hate being tied to the TV schedule and like to do my thing and watch when I want to. I predict in the future everything will be downloaded TV.
