Whole Foods to Phase Out Plastic Grocery Bags

/>I saw this article in the <a mce_thref= Dallas Morning News and it reminded me that since I collect all types of bags (See 100 Things about Me), that I should use my canvas grocery bags I keep in the trunk of my car more often. We could save our landfills by using reusable grocery bags so I remembered another solution for those of you that would like to participate in saving our environment.

I saw a short story on a couple of women on TV who started a bag company just for this purpose How Green is Your Bag . height="100"

The Haute Market Bags are functionable, fashionable and earth-friendly

Easy to Clean
Holds more that regular plastic Bags
Stands up and easy to fold
Looks good enough for many more purposes.

2 Ed Bacchus { 02.05.08 at 10:12 am }: I saw in a follow up article that the original whole foods author got a lot of negative comments about the bring you own bag practice. Many people pointing out that she failed to mention recycling options. I know I don’t re-cycle and don’t know many people that do.
