PalmAddicts: iPhone 2.0 firmware details
I love my Treo 680, but would switch to an iPhone if it could do everything my Treo can especially the software I use.

I dont need an iPhone….The Treo 680 Works Fine
I recently upgraded my Treo 650 Smartphone (PDA and Cell phone combo) to the 680 and have unleashed a monster of technology. Although I didn't have my 650 very long, going through the upgrade process forced me to look for better ways of using my smartphone. With the addition of Baby B to our family forces me to become more organized.
Having a kid teaches you how to mult-task, have more than one forces you to work small miracles on a daily basis.
Some of my favorite applications so far are below:
- SpashID-Gotta keep up with all your website logins and passwords
- SpashPhoto-The best photo organizer for the palm. Ditch the free one that comes with your device
- PocketQuicken- It's good to balance your check book everyonce in a while
- Documents to GO-Access Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents on your phone
- ZLaucher-A more appealing application laucher that allows you to customize the look of your device
- Datebook-The best calendar around. Ditch the free one that comes with your device
- IconManager-Not really necessary but helps with Datebook above
- Snappermail-I am testing this out right now, but like the ability to save emails to my SD card and organize folders
I have visited a number of websites to help with this upgrade process and Treonauts published a post that shows how a power user uses his device on a daily basis. See the link below

Get More Organized: Make Lists
I added to my list of 100 things about me page. If you haven't noticed, I use lists to organize my life. I use a software program on my phone called ListPro to help keep up with things I think about on the go. I also use it on my desktop pc to keep up with things I need to work on and carry it around with me on my phone to keep on track. I recently ran across a site called Listography . For people like me, this is a very entertaining place to be. You can create a multitude of different lists and you can add pictures and customize your color schemes. What I often find myself doing is scrolling thru other peoples public lists (You can keep some lists private if you like) for hours at a time.
You can visit my lists by clicking below and look around and start making your

My Personal Request to the Technology Gods!!!!
If we can put a man on the moon, develop wireless phone technology, and give people the abilityto pause live television, why can't we create a single machine that will wash and dry a load of laundry???

Tips for Teaching Disorganized Kids/Adults–Parenting Ideas
Now that BJ is about to begin kindergarden, I find that mom and dad need to be more organized for his school attendance. Parenting Ideas posts a nice list that both parents and children can use. It is my belief that if the parent is organized than the children will be also.

I changed my RSS Feed to Feedburner
For the three of you who read my blog via the RSS feed, I have chagned my feed to feed burner. If you have any problems with the old feed, please re-link by clicking on any of the feed option buttons found on the sidebar, or clicking the feedburner icon below.
Â
I actually have 4 readers, but I subscribe to myself to be alerted if there are errors with the feed.
For those of you who don’t use a feed reader to read your blogs, then let me suggest you do so asap. There are many feed readers out there and I use bloglines. By reading blogs via a feed reader, one can read through their blogroll in the manner of seconds. It is without a doubt the best way to surf the internet and I wish blogger would offer this as an standard option so that more bloggers on blogspot could offer their sites via a feed.
Again, if you have any problems with the feed, please let me know.

My Wife is Seeing Another Man–Mr Black
Yes, my wife is doing something I never thought she would do. Mommy Bacchus has a boyfriend. Due to privacy concerns, I will refer to this other man as “Mr. Black.” There were several clues that revealed this relationship. Mommy Bacchus talks to Mr. Black every free moment she has, in the car, on the elevator, or waiting for take-out. She is constantly holding his hand and touching his face. Mr. Black is small compact, colorful and re-charges his batteries each night. How can a guy compete with that? Below is a picture I took of him while he was sleeping. I blacked out his face to protect his identity.
Mr. Black makes my wife laugh, cry and scream. Yes, I said, scream. One morning we were heading out the drive way and Mommy Bacchus tells me to stop the car and bolts out the door. She runs back into the house yelling and calling his name. What’s up with that????
Fortunately for me, I think they have developed what most young relationships encounter; a communication problem. One morning Mr Black told her to be at a certain place, at a certain time, but had his facts all wrong. This made Mommy Bacchus furious and she threatened to trade him in for another model. (Yes!!!!) Since I realized this was my perfect opportunity to break them up, I started doing little things to add to the relationship tension. I would un-plug Mr. Black’s charger in the middle of the night hoping he runs out of juice in the middle of the day. I have been having my own conversations with Mr. Black and giving him false appointment/calendar entries hoping she will get mad at him again. I have also been cutting out advertisements for Mr Black’s adversary, Mr “T” (Palm Treo 650), and leaving them lying around the house. Unfortunately none of these tactics have worked so far. It appears that I am left with only one choice.
I see Mr. Black all around town with other women. He can be found at soccer games, the grocery store and even on the highway while some people are driving. I think my only alternative is to play on Mommy Bacchus’ jealous nature and email her pictures showing Mr. Black for the TRUE SLUT that he his. I know it may sound cruel to used Mr. Black’s designed functionality in an effort to destroy him, but a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do. Hopefully the next chapter will be “Mr Black gets sold on eBay.”

African American Lives | PBS
African American Lives | PBS
This is the best thing I have seen on TV since Alex Haley’s ROOTS !!!!!
Last week I heard on the radio about a PBS documentary concerning African American history and tracing our past lineages and hosted by Henry Louis Gates, Jr. Since I have been a fan of Dr Gates for years, I thought I would check it out. I didn’t get home in time to set up my DVR (Digital Video Recorder) to record it from the beginning so I did a search and found that it also re-played last night. Wow, WOW, WWWWOOOOOOW. This is a must see for every African American in this country. Not only did they trace the family histories of several celebrities, Dr. Gates also had genetic tests to identify what percentage of their ancestors were European, African, Asian or Indian. To top it off, they also conducted a second series of tests to narrow done to specific tribes and countries your DNA most likely came from. You have got to see the expressions and results they found for Oprah, Quincy Jones, Whoopi Goldberg and Chris Tucker. You will be shocked and amazed at what this technology can identify.
I read about this genetic testing in Black Enterprise magazine and found that anyone can find out their own genetic results. Go to www.Africanancestry.com
